Welcome to the preview of the Adelaide Hills Food Safari!  

We will meet at 8.45 AM for a 9 AM departure in the foyer of the Hotel Alba, 226 South Terrace, Adelaide, before embarking on our journey to the Adelaide Hills on the Big Heart Adventures bus.

Begin your day with a delightful morning tea at Paracombe Premium Perry. Enjoy the behind-the-scenes farm tour, where you'll get a unique glimpse into the state-of-the-art, computerized fruit grading line. Watch as they meticulously pack fresh fruit for the local market, and discover how Paracombe Premium Perry's & juices are created.  

Next, we whisk you away to Topiary for a leisurely lunch experience. Here, they adhere to the timeless principles of our ancestors from a century ago: sourcing locally, crafting everything from scratch, embracing the seasons, and wasting nothing.

On our way to Applewood Distillery, we will visit Peregrine Store to discover authentic products that celebrate a return to basics and the art of slow living. 

We venture to Applewood Distillery for an exclusive tour and tasting session. Immerse yourself in artisanal spirits as passionate distillers guide you through the process, from botanical selection to distillation, culminating in a tasting of their signature creations.

As the day draws closer, reflect on the flavours, stories, and connections made throughout the day, carrying the essence of slow living and appreciation for locally sourced, handcrafted delicacies. We will head back to Adelaide around 3:30 PM, where you will be dropped off at Hotel Alba, 226 South Terrace, Adelaide.

Itinerary & inclusions:

9.00 AM Collect from the Hotel Alba, 226 South Terrace and travel to the Adelaide hills

10.00 AM Paracombe Premium Perry ||  Morning tea, Farm Guided tour with juice-tasting

Noon Topiary || Lunch, house-made bread and butter accompanied by a welcome drink, a main course and dessert, followed by an   engaging conversation with the chef about the ethos and inspiration behind the menu

1.35 PM Peregrine store || shop, free time to shop and discover local makers and artisans

2.00pm    Applewood Distillery || guided distillery tour with gin-tasting & regional platter to share

3.30 PM Drive to Adelaide and drop off at the Hotel Alba, 226 South Terrace, Adelaide
